POET : Federica

Good morning, hope all is well.  

My name is Federica, a multidisciplinary artist and yoga teacher interested in music making, dance, movement holistic healing, travelling the world, learning and teaching many different languages and just learning and teaching really!

Particularly in love with Japanese, South American and African Cultures, music and words flow in my veins just like blood!

POEM : SPIKES

She started to grow spikes

To protect herself because even though

She reached high heights

With every new hike refused to keep score

Of more strikes

She started to grow spikes

But what if the person she had to protect herself

from the most was her own self?

Strong armour to hide a very soft side.

The world gets too loud

and all she needs is just quiet times.

Overtime, overthinking...

but maybe she just has a very analytical side and although some topics are not funny to talk about,

cannot keep covering her mouth

And pretend to be happy when she's not.

Clouted the ripped clothes

and put a patch on wounds she ran away not to be caught

whilst crying she cannot hide them as they're part of her but not to be held in the womb.

She started to grow spikes,

nonetheless even the cactus has flowers

So she decided to keep her heart open

because vulnerability is power
